If you are new to SingThrough Central, contact us here OR by sending an email to singthrough@verizon.net with your desired role(s) in the Subject Line. Please attach your materials as well. A get-acquainted audition may be requested if you’re new to STC or if you’ve changed fach or repertoire since the last time we crossed paths.
Fees and Preparation Information:
Whether you wish to review a role you have sung before or prepare a new one, there is an option for you!
Here are the basic guidelines for participation; please read them thoroughly!!!
STC requires advance payment to reserve your role UPON receipt of the Official Offer for a role in a reading. If not received within 10 days (with no explanation of delay or request for other terms), I will assume you are no longer interested and move on to the next candidate in my list.
PLEASE NOTE: Starting to learn a role from scratch when accepted into the project is not necessarily discouraged. BUT, PLEASE don’t assume you can learn your part at the last minute or if you have many musical or other obligations. If your time framework is short, then more coachings will be necessary.
In general, there is a 3-6 week time period from when you are accepted into the project to the reading date. This is why the more you know of the role beforehand, the better. The sometimes short lead time is a natural result of the complexity of schedules we often find here in New York.
The BASIC package fee is $325 and includes 3 hours of online coaching, participation in 3 group recitative sessions and the reading itself. The first 2 accompaniment tracks will be will be made for you gratis. The others will be added for an additional donation, TBD.
Coaching time beyond the package is $65 per hour. If your musicianship/role prep skills are high, then 3 hours may suffice for an important protagonist or title role. However, if not, or the role is really dense and demanding (recitative-heavy or bel canto style) it is suggested that you consider budgeting for more than the time included.
Alternately, when doing a short role or reviewing a role done before, two hours of individual coaching, attendance at three recitative sessions, plus the reading is $225. The accompaniment tracks will be provided for an additional donation, TBD.

Payment may be made by check, cash, or through an electronic payment provider: Zelle, Chase QuickPay just to name two. Or Paypal (with no fees).
Your coachings should be scheduled in a timely way so that you can learn well and steadily instead of at the last minute.
Covers are also sought for these readings. Covers must be available on the reading date, have their role learned through coachings, and attendance at the recit sessions if applicable, and are invited to attend the reading without cost. Covers are eligible to have coachings for their role at the special STC rate of $65/hour plus $10/per hour to attend recit sessions. If a cover does ultimately go on, the reading fee may be paid at that time,
