SUSAN MORTON, pianist, vocal coach, linguist, conductor, maintains a busy coaching studio in New York City. She has long been associated with Italian opera, language and culture, and has worked both in the US and abroad in diverse opera companies and teaching programs.

My Philosophy:

I believe in empowering singers to become better artists through their own efforts, using analysis, deep practice and goal-setting. Mentoring clients is important to me so that I can help to guide them from where they are to where they want to be.

I am dedicated to working with a singer towards mastery of a role, an aria, a character or a language, to raise professional viability to a high level as is essential in this profession.

Nothing brings me more joy than helping singing actors integrate the language of music with the music of language.
